Wild Horizons Victoria Falls Canopy Tour
This canopy tour moves you through the hardwood riverine forest of the Zambezi gorges on nine zip-line slides and a cable bridge walkway, putting you above, below, and inside the canopy at different points along the route. The slides range from forty metres to roughly eighty-five metres in length. Two guides accompany every group, and the full circuit takes between two and two and a half hours.
The forest sits in the gorges below Victoria Falls, and the birdlife in the canopy can include Knysna and Purple Crested Turacos and Peregrine Falcons. The slides and walkways are set up so you move through the trees rather than over open ground, which means the birds are close and the views down into the gorge are frequent.
There is no minimum age, though guides may harness younger children together with an accompanying adult, and a parent or guardian must sign an indemnity for anyone under sixteen. There is no maximum age either, and the tour is designed to work for families and groups as well as solo visitors. A safety briefing covers all equipment and procedures before you set off.
Departure times are arranged at booking; there is no fixed daily schedule. The tour operates in English by default, with French, German, Italian, and Spanish available on private tours.
