Wilderness Linkwasha – Game Drives
Open 4x4 drives across Hwange's private concessions and Ngamo Plains
Skip to product information
Game drives run in open 4x4 vehicles from Linkwasha, with access to two private concessions bordering Hwange National Park. Guides track fresh spoor and read alarm calls from baboons, kudu and squirrels to locate predators. Routes cross the Ngamo Plains, where seasonal floodwaters draw elephant herds, wildebeest, zebra, eland and hippo, alongside crowned cranes, spoonbills and carmine bee-eaters. Drives take in both plains game and the resident carnivores, with lions, sicklebush thickets and flooded pans among the terrain covered. Guides such as Casper Ngwenya, with two decades in the area, work the woodland and grassland edges by vehicle, adjusting course as fresh signs demand.
