Wilderness Little DumaTau

Wilderness DumaTau sits on Osprey Lagoon inside the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve in northern Botswana, with forty-five kilometres of exclusive traversing frontage along both the Linyanti River and the Savuti Channel. The reserve covers one hundred and twenty-six thousand hectares of unfenced land, part of a large transfrontier conservation area that spans several countries in southern Africa, and it carries some of the highest elephant concentrations on the continent — herds move through on corridors worn into the ground over centuries, several of which are now submerged beneath the lagoon.

The camp holds seven twin tented suites and one family unit. Each suite measures one hundred and forty-two square metres, raised off the ground to face the water, with an indoor lounge, indoor and outdoor showers, and a private plunge pool on the deck. The family unit takes four guests across two rooms, each with its own bathroom. The camp runs entirely on solar energy.

Game drives go out twice daily in open four-by-four vehicles carrying four guests each. Night drives use spotlights for nocturnal species including lesser bushbabies, servals, aardwolf, and occasionally pangolin. Guided walks go out seasonally with armed guides. On the water, barge excursions and boat trips run when levels allow, passing hippos and crocodiles along the channel. Catch-and-release fishing is available except in January and February, when Botswana law prohibits it during breeding season. The Linyanti is a designated Important Bird Area; eagles and raptors concentrate along the Savuti Channel.

The wellness centre and lap pool are shared with the neighbouring Wilderness Little DumaTau camp.
