Wilderness Little Ruckomechi – Birding
Mana Pools floodplain birding, from courser to lovebird
Skip to product information
Little Ruckomechi sits on the Mana Pools floodplain, where the bird checklist runs long and colourful. Guides lead the search on foot, by vehicle or from the water, tracking down species such as the three-banded courser, western banded snake-eagle, Arnot's chat, green-capped eremomela, African golden oriole, Lilian's lovebird, Böhm's spinetail and Meve's starling. Riverine forest, floodplain and mixed woodland around camp draw a wide mix of resident and migratory species. Binoculars in hand, the pace stays slow and the looking close, whether the outing runs a few hours or fills a morning.
