Wilderness Savuti – Night Drives
After-dark drives at Savuti reveal Botswana's nocturnal wildlife
Skip to product information
Once the sun sets, Savuti's game drives shift focus to animals rarely seen by day. A spotlight-equipped vehicle heads out into the dark, guided by trackers watching for movement in the grass and along the treeline. Sightings might include lesser bushbabies, spring hares, servals, aardwolf and large spotted genets, with the pangolin an especially rare find. The pace is slower than a daytime drive, and quieter, as eyes adjust to shapes beyond the headlights. It is a different rhythm of the bush entirely, built around senses that only wake once the light goes.
