Xaoo Safari Camp
Xaoo Safari Camp occupies a seventeen-hectare private concession beside the Santantadibe River in the NG35 zone of the Okavango Delta, close to the boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve. Six luxury chalets and four smaller bush cabins make up the accommodation, sleeping up to twelve guests in the chalets and eight in the cabins. Each chalet is open-plan, with a bathtub, hand basin, outdoor shower, private wooden deck, super-king bed, and a remote-controlled ceiling fan. Power sockets take multiple plug types.
The camp runs both water-based and land activities. Mokoro excursions — trips by traditional dugout canoe through the Delta's channels — leave from a station reached by a scenic track from camp. Game drives, guided walking safaris, sleep-outs on island, bird watching, catch-and-release fishing, and helicopter scenic flights are all on offer. Cultural village tours are available off-site. Wildlife in the concession includes the Big Five, and the area carries low visitor numbers, so encounters tend to be unhurried.
There is a swimming pool, a communal lounge and dining area, a bar, and a honeymoon suite with a spa bath. The kitchen serves vegetarian options alongside its main menu.
The camp is reachable by road — roughly two hours by game-drive vehicle or an hour and a half by self-drive 4x4 from Maun — or by a fifteen-minute helicopter transfer. Guests who travel overland rather than fly in receive a road transfer between camp and Maun at no additional cost.
