Zambezi Grande

Zambezi Grande sits on the bank of the Zambezi River, bordering the Lower Zambezi National Park, with Mana Pools National Park visible across the water on the opposite bank. The lodge holds ten rooms in two types: five Superior Suites, each free-standing on the riverfront with a king bed, Victorian bath, and an outdoor shower facing the water; and five Luxury Rooms set back slightly from the bank, with king or twin beds, an enclosed bathroom, and a veranda over the river. Interconnecting rooms are available. Both room types have air conditioning, ceiling fans, a fully stocked complimentary minibar, and complimentary wi-fi.

The land and water together define what you do here. Game drives run into the Lower Zambezi National Park, where elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard, and wild dog move through open habitat. Walking safaris follow the same terrain on foot — the surrounding area hosts close to four hundred bird species, including Livingstone's flycatcher. River safaris by boat cover the Zambezi itself, watching wildlife on the banks. Fishing is catch-and-release only; tiger fish and vundu are the target species, and the lodge supplies gear and tackle.

The restaurant kitchen prepares pan-African meals in-house, from snacks through to main courses and desserts. Wellness treatments using Healing Earth products are available on your veranda. The lodge also has an infinity pool, a bar, and a library. A complimentary airport shuttle is available.
