Zungulila is a four-tent bushcamp inside South Luangwa National Park, set on the open plain that runs down to the Kapamba River. Natural springs along that plain draw elephant, buffalo, and lion within view of the camp, and flocks of birds work the river year-round. The camp takes a maximum of eight guests, which keeps the guides-to-guests ratio close and the atmosphere quiet.

The four tented chalets are built under thatch, each with a bamboo veranda directly facing the plain and the river. Inside, the tents have thatched canopy ceilings, ensuite bathrooms with hot-and-cold running water, outdoor showers, and private plunge pools. Beds run to two twin rooms — each with two queen beds — and two doubles with a king bed, so the camp can take couples, families, or small groups without a complicated allocation.

Activities run to game drives, guided game walks, and night drives. Birding is a serious option here: the river and the open ground together hold a wide range of species. Sundowners in the riverbed are a regular fixture when conditions allow. The main area includes a boma for evening meals. Laundry is handled by the camp, and the kitchen accommodates vegetarian requirements.
