Astir Odysseus Kos Resort & Spa

The Aegean is the view here, not a backdrop glimpsed in passing. Astir Odysseus sits on the Tingaki coast of Kos, five kilometres from the old town and 22 kilometres from the island's airport, built in 2009 as a low-rise resort turned toward the water. It holds 337 rooms and suites across twelve categories, from 28 m² doubles with garden or pool views to a 102 m² Presidential Maisonette with its own pool at the sea's edge. Several room types put water at the door: swim-up rooms open straight onto a shared pool, and two-storey maisonettes share a pool between every pair of units. The sea-view rooms with an outdoor jacuzzi are reserved for adults. Public spaces run to a spa, tennis courts, several restaurants and bars, a gym and a games room, with gardens threading the grounds between them. Family rooms and two-bedroom executive suites, some sleeping up to six, sit alongside a wheelchair-accessible double built with a step-free shower room. Balconies and terraces face sea, pool or garden, and at dusk the light off the water reaches most of them. Check-in staff handle transfers and dining arrangements on request. It is a resort built for a full week by the sea, not a stopover.
