Avalon Springs
Soaking in mineral water that rises at 43°C from Cogman's Kloof, guests move between nine pools fed by thermal springs beneath the Langeberg range. Avalon Springs is a fifty-room resort hotel in Montagu on Uitvlucht Street, two hours by road from Cape Town. Accommodation spans Classic Hotel Rooms with queen beds and balconies overlooking gardens and mountains, Classic Family Rooms with a double bed and sleeper couch for two children under twelve, and Deluxe Two Bedroom Suites with two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. Three Deck-Facing Rooms open onto a shared deck with a private spa bath. Garden Suites on the ground floor accommodate wheelchairs and mobility aids, each with one bedroom, a lounge, and an en-suite bathroom. Self-catering Mountain Chalets sleep four adults and two children, with two en-suite bathrooms, a full kitchen, and an outdoor spa bath.

The pools operate at varying temperatures depending on distance from the source. Five pools and a super tube are reserved for overnight and timeshare guests; a sliding gate opens in the evenings to grant access to day-visitor facilities. A children's activity centre sits near the Beach Pool. Communal braai areas serve resident guests. Cogman's Restaurant prepares meals using Halaal-certified meat; Dassie's Cove poolside bar opens for drinks and juice. A wellness spa offers massages and beauty treatments by appointment. Montagu town lies a short distance away. Hiking trails include a 2.2-kilometre walk to Eyssenhuis at Joubert Park and a staircase climb to a cave above the resort.
