Hot water runs in every en-suite bathroom; the lake lies five kilometres from Messica village. Casa Msika Lodge occupies a 476-hectare peninsula on Lake Chicamba in western Mozambique, where the Revue and Messica rivers meet the dam. The reserve sits 48 kilometres from the Zimbabwe border and five kilometres off the EN6 highway. Accommodation divides between rooms and chalets. Rooms offer single or double beds; chalets hold double beds and face the water. One guest house, Thoping Chalet, stands apart on the reserve. All units have electricity and en-suite facilities.

Miombo woodland covers the peninsula. Giraffe, zebra, impala, wildebeest, and ostrich move through the reserve; guided and self-guided wildlife tours run from the lodge. Boats depart for fishing trips, lake tours, and sunset cruises; canoes are available to paddle along the shore. Bass, carp, and bream are caught from the banks and boats. Hiking trails cross the reserve to viewpoints above the lake and mountains. A terrace restaurant, bar, and outdoor pool overlook the water. The Chicamba Dam lies visible by boat. Junior fishing competitions between Mozambique and Zimbabwe anglers take place on the lake.
