Cocos Hotel Antigua
Built entirely of wood, wattle, and indigenous materials, stand-alone cottages sit on a hillside on Antigua's south-western coast between Valley Church Beach and Jolly Beach. COCOS Hotel is an adults-only all-inclusive property. No corridors connect the cottages; outdoor pathways run through gardens and down to the beaches. Each cottage has a four-poster king bed fitted with mosquito net, a private balcony with West Indian hammock and Adirondack chairs, and an outdoor shower set among tropical plants with a view to the sea. No televisions are installed. Air conditioning is available, or guests can open windows and French doors for natural cooling. Hand-crafted wooden furniture and daily fresh floral arrangements furnish the interiors.
Six cottage categories are spread across the hillside. Sunset Pool cottages occupy clifftop positions with unobstructed 180-degree sea views, private infinity plunge pools, and oversize sundecks. The Beachfront Pool cottage sits on Valley Church Beach with direct sand access and its own plunge pool. Bay View Pool cottages overlook Jolly Beach from the northern cliff and are closest to the restaurant. Sunset View, Premium View, and Standard View cottages occupy mid- and lower-hillside positions with varying degrees of sea view and uphill access.
The open-air restaurant sits on the western hillside with views across the Caribbean Sea. Meals are served à la carte by waiters. International cuisine is prepared with a West Indian emphasis using produce sourced from local farmers and fish from independent fishermen. Fresh fruit juices and smoothies are made without concentrates. Rotating seven-day dinner menus feature three appetisers, three mains, three desserts, and a nightly chef's special. Snorkelling, kayaking, spa treatments, yoga, steel pan classes, and cooking classes are available on site.
