Daydream Island Resort

Daydream Island Resort is a coral cay in the Whitsundays, thirty minutes by ferry from Airlie Beach on the Queensland coast. The property holds 240 rooms and suites across a central atrium building and two wings. Resort rooms and superior rooms measure 36 m² and offer one king or two queen beds, air conditioning, a mini-fridge, coffee facilities, and views over gardens, pools, or the ocean. Deluxe ocean terrace rooms face the Whitsunday Islands from the eastern Driftwood Wing and open onto terraces with outdoor furniture. Deluxe serenity twin rooms span 40 m² and hold two queen beds, a balcony, and views of Lovers Cove and the mainland. Serenity suites and vista suites each cover 60 m² with a separate bedroom, a lounge, a dining area, and a balcony; serenity suites overlook Lovers Cove, vista suites the western sector of the island. Bathrooms in deluxe and suite categories include walk-in showers, separate baths, and Australian-made amenities.

Six restaurants and bars operate on site: Graze serves buffet breakfast overlooking the Living Reef lagoon; Infinity spans the upper levels with Whitsunday views; Salti offers Mediterranean dishes; Barefoot is a swim-up pool bar. The Living Reef lagoon holds over 100 marine species and runs daily feeding displays. Non-motorised water sports — kayaks, paddleboards, snorkelling gear — are available without charge. Rainforest walks cross the island; an outdoor cinema screens films after dark. Ferry transfers run on a published schedule between the resort and Airlie Beach.
