Persian carpets line the floors of the superior rooms; sandstone tiles cover the bathroom floors. The guest farm sits on Seekoegat, a working lucerne property of 2,000 hectares seven kilometres from Oudtshoorn, between the Swartberg and Outeniqua mountain ranges. Twenty-one rooms spread across the main house; three stone cottages sit a five-minute drive away via gravel track. Superior and honeymoon suites have open-air showers, king beds, indoor fireplaces, and views toward the Outeniqua range. Deluxe rooms are soundproofed and overlook the pool. Cottages are built from rock and set into the Karoo field; each has a private pool, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and a deck. All accommodation includes air-conditioning, fridges, and Wi-Fi.

Guided meerkat walks begin at sunrise and track wild habituated colonies on the property. Tours run daily in fair weather; the animals stay underground when it rains. The farm records 162 bird species; private guided birding tours operate in season. You can canoe the river when water levels allow, cycle hired bikes across the lucerne fields, or follow self-guided walking trails. De Windpomp Restaurant sources vegetables from the kitchen garden and serves wood-fired pizza, free-range meat, and gluten-free options. The property is solar-powered and malaria-free.
