Desert Quiver Camp : Scenic Flights

Scenic flights over Namibia’s desert and coastline

Scenic Flights at Desert Quiver Camp use a six-seater Cessna 210 based at Sossusvlei Lodge. An experienced pilot guides the journey. Routes vary from a 40-minute flight over Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon to capture aerial views of the dunes and canyon, to hour-long trips along the Namib Desert coastline, where the desert meets the Atlantic Ocean. Longer flights of an hour and a half include views of Conception Bay, seal colonies, shipwrecks, and old diamond miners’ camps. Flights depart from Sossusvlei Lodge’s Adventure Centre. The aircraft is air-conditioned and maintained for comfort.
