Founded as a joint venture with local conservancies, Etosha King Nehale stands on the Andoni plains one kilometre north of the King Nehale Gate into Etosha National Park. The lodge plan mimics the head of a Nguni bull, with forty chalets extending north and south from the central area in two curved rows. Each chalet holds twin or double beds, an en-suite shower, air-conditioning, a veranda, and a private plunge pool facing the plains. Family chalets accommodate four, with one double bed and a sleeper couch for two children under thirteen.
The main lodge carries Oshiwambo design through the reception, boma, restaurant, bar, and curio shop: custom cutlery, fabric panels, chandeliers, and table engravings of proverbs in the local language. The lodge has twenty-four-hour security, secure parking at the main building, wireless internet, and laundry service. Staff speak English and Afrikaans.
Guided game drives in open vehicles depart morning and afternoon into Etosha, tracking lions, elephants, and giraffes across the northern and central park. Full-day drives run roughly nine hours; half-day drives five to six hours. King Nehale guests have exclusive access to a private waterhole inside the park, where a hide overlooks the pan. Morning visits depart thirty minutes after sunrise; afternoon visits around 14h00, each lasting three hours. The Ondjumba Cultural Village tour takes guests through a traditional Oshiwambo homestead three hours from the lodge, including transfer. You can arrange activities through the on-site desk.
