Euphorbia Mashatu

Euphorbia Mashatu sits inside Mashatu Game Reserve in Botswana's Northern Tuli block, near Lentswelemoriti. The camp holds eight private villas, each built with a form drawn from the shape of the Mopane pod. The reserve runs on solar power, and the camp is designed to keep its footprint on the land light.

Each villa is fully private, air-conditioned, and has its own plunge pool looking out over the surrounding bush. Inside and outside showers, a mini bar, mosquito netting, a safe, and a fridge are all included. A deck called the nest overlooks the reserve and the Majale River ravine below, and it reads well at sunrise.

Game drives here are limited to four guests per vehicle, guided by rangers who work the reserve on foot and by road. Walking safaris focus on tracks, plants, and insects rather than large game alone. Other activities available on the reserve include horseback safaris, mountain biking with rangers, night drives, and photography sessions using a sunken underground hide designed specifically for close-range wildlife photography. A spa team works from your villa, using locally sourced ingredients. Guided bird watching and star gazing are also offered.

Fly-in access is available via Limpopo Valley Airfield, with return flights operating from Lanseria on set days of the week.
