Built within Olifants West Nature Reserve in the Greater Kruger, the lodge stands beside a seasonal watercourse where indigenous vegetation frames plains-game views. Architecture draws on organic African form and local materials; sprawling decks link indoor and outdoor spaces. The wine cellar is cut into a natural rock face in the manner of a Khoisan cave. An elevated sky-walk extends to a waterhole frequented by antelope and elephant.
Six suites comprise three ultra-luxury suites, two luxury chalets, and one two-bed family room. Ultra-luxury suites include a private plunge pool, outdoor shower, lounge, dining area, and deck overlooking the savannah. The Ndlovu family room holds two bedrooms — the main with a soaker tub and walk-in shower, the second with its own en-suite shower — both opening onto a shared courtyard. All rooms include air-conditioning, overhead fans, mosquito nets, insect-proof screens, mini-bar, and viewing deck.
Twice-daily game drives in open vehicles depart at dawn and late afternoon, returning after dark with spotlight. Rangers and trackers guide routes through the reserve; lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo are resident. Drives pause at sunset for drinks and a leg-stretch on foot. A massage therapist based at the lodge offers full-body or shoulder treatments on private decks. The pool includes a waterfall feature; meals are served outdoors when conditions allow. A curio shop stocks lodge apparel and African handwork.
