Set on a 68-acre headland at The Crags between Plettenberg Bay and Nature's Valley, Fairview House is an eight-room guesthouse overlooking the Tsitsikamma Mountains and fynbos valleys. The Rattray family bought the farm in 1980; the buildings were designed in Cape Dutch style and renovated into a hotel in 2018. The property lies ten minutes from Keurbooms beach and ten minutes from Plettenberg Bay.
Two rooms occupy the main house. The luxury room holds a king bed, an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, and a private balcony. The standard room includes a king bed, a study nook, and an open-plan bathroom with shower only. Six coach-house rooms stand separate from the main house: four luxury rooms — two king, two twin — each with a private verandah and en-suite shower, and two deluxe suites fitted with king beds, adjoining children's rooms with twin beds, en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower, and balconies. All rooms carry air conditioning, mini bars, Nespresso machines, satellite television, and complimentary wireless internet.
The main house holds a bar, a restaurant, and a television room. A pool sits on the property. Laundry service operates on request. Secure parking is available. You can see several mountain ranges from the balconies. Activities nearby include whale watching, surfing, cycling, horse riding, hiking, and wine tasting at the Plett wineries within a ten-minute drive.
