Farm House Valley Lodge

Guests walk the coffee plantation in late afternoon with a guide who explains how the organic farm operates year-round. Farm House Valley is a 30-room lodge set across a 500-acre working coffee estate in Karatu, five kilometres from the Lolduare entrance to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Chalet-style ground-floor rooms open onto private terraces or balconies overlooking gardens and coffee fields; each includes an en-suite shower, mosquito nets, fan, and tea tray. Six interconnected family suites pair two rooms via a shared door. The main building sits under a thatched roof and holds the restaurant, lounge, and a large deck with views across the Rift Valley to the extinct Oldeani volcano. The kitchen sources dairy and vegetables from the farm's own production. Dinner moves to the terrace when weather allows. An outdoor pool lies within the grounds. Each evening a fire is lit in the central area; drinks and snacks are laid out before dinner. A massage cabin offers hour-and-a-half body treatments, head massage, manicure, and pedicure. The lodge lies 151 kilometres from Arusha via tarmac road, or 32 kilometres from Manyara Airstrip. Laundry service, secure parking, and 24-hour electricity are available.
