Fat Biking from forest to coastal dunes

This activity begins with a ride along a narrow sandy trail through fynbos vegetation on Grootbos Nature Reserve. Cyclists then reach coastal sand dunes, where they can descend a steep dune face after an introductory briefing or opt for an easier slope beside it. The sand naturally slows the bike, making the steep descent manageable. Riders learn to manoeuvre in a slalom style similar to skiing. The route continues down a 4x4 track to the beach, with an option for a vehicle return to avoid the uphill ride back to the car park. The ride combines forest and beach landscapes over varied terrain.
