Guinjata Bay sits on the Mozambique coast about thirty kilometres south of Inhambane, where clear water over offshore reefs draws divers from across the world. Guinjane Lodge is a self-catering property on this stretch of white-sand beach, built for families and groups who want a base they can run themselves.

There are four unit types: a two-bedroom unit sleeping four, a two-bedroom unit sleeping six, a three-bedroom unit sleeping eight, and a five-bedroom unit sleeping ten. Every unit has a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, deep freeze, and gas geyser, plus mosquito nets, linen, and ceiling fans. Each has its own private braai and a washing line. Walls are brick, floors and walls are tiled, and storage is built in — the finish is practical and solid.

The reef offshore is the main reason most guests are here. Manta Reef, reachable from Guinjata Bay, is one of the better-known dive sites along this coast, with manta rays and whale sharks recorded regularly. The bay also supports snorkelling, kayaking, surf fishing, shore fishing, and deep-sea angling. Local beach bars and restaurants serve fresh seafood a short walk from the lodge.

The lodge is accessed from Inhambane, with the nearest town and airport approximately thirty kilometres north.
