Guizado Portillo Hacienda & Resort

Set in Pacarán in the Cañete valley, Guizado Portillo Hacienda & Resort holds one hundred and fifty rooms and suites arranged across republican-era buildings. Eleven artificial lagoons encircle the property. The Chanchamayo site was founded by Negociación Inmobiliaria Agrícola del Valle de Pacarán and expanded to Lima's Cañete region. Every room includes cable television, minibar, and en-suite bathroom; suites add separate sitting areas. American breakfast with house-baked bread is included. The restaurant Las Lagunas overlooks the main lagoons and serves regional dishes; camarones and pisco-based preparations appear on the menu.

A working vineyard and distillery occupy part of the estate. Guests may tour the vines, view the copper alambique, and join pisco tastings that compare varietal expressions. Two outdoor pools are open year-round: one near the room blocks, the other adjacent to a bar stocked with estate-distilled spirits. A mini zoo houses ducks, pheasants, cockerels, deer, and alpacas. Nine smaller lagoons lie along walking and cycling trails that lead to the Río Cañete and a waterfall. The Apu Yaya Jesucristo chapel holds weddings and baptisms; a bell tower functions as a mirador. Rafting operators work the river with certified guides. Horseback rides are arranged through third-party stables nearby. A medical clinic stands opposite the pool.
