Hacklewood Hill Country House occupies an 1898 Victorian manor in the Walmer suburb of Gqeberha. Eight rooms spread over two floors; six on the upper storey, two on the ground. Every room holds an en-suite bathroom with a hand-painted free-standing bathtub and separate shower. Second-floor rooms open onto private balconies overlooking the garden, tennis court, or swimming pool. The Lady Elizabeth suite on the upper level features a king four-poster bed and a four-poster Roman-inspired bathtub. The Madiba room, also on the second floor, pairs a queen four-poster bed with a balcony that faces the garden and pool. The Loerie and Sunbird rooms convert from king to twin three-quarter beds. The Court Room, on the ground floor, opens via a patio onto a small private garden.
The dining room serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner under silver service. The underground wine cellar stocks imported white wines, champagnes, and vintage reds. A tennis court sits within the grounds; rackets and balls are available. The outdoor pool occupies the front garden. High tea is served in the dining room or garden. Croquet and indoor games are on offer. Check-in begins at 14h00; check-out by 11h00. Wireless internet, laundry, and secure parking are complimentary. The hotel accepts conference bookings and private functions.
