Hakusembe River Lodge Gondwana Collection Namibia

Boat cruises depart the lodge at sunset and sunrise, tracing the Okavango River through channels lined with papyrus and jackalberry. Tigerfish excursions run with a guide, two guests per boat, using catch-and-release tackle. Hakusembe River Lodge lies sixteen kilometres west of Rundu on the B10, where twenty chalets face the water directly. Each has an en-suite shower, mosquito nets, air-conditioning, a safe, and a veranda. Triple bungalows accommodate three. Twin bungalows take two. One family bungalow sleeps five in a double and three singles; another holds seven across two double rooms and a loft. All overlook the river.

The restaurant and bar operate on site. A pool sits within the garden. The floating deck is built above the river. You can walk to the nearby Mbunza Cultural Village or follow self-guided trails along the bank. Fishing is available by the hour with basic equipment supplied. In the dry season between September and December, low water restricts boat access and may suspend river trips. The lodge confirms availability at check-in. Twenty-four-hour security is standard. Secure parking is at the main lodge. Staff speak English and Afrikaans.
