Harbour House Hotel

Set along the Old Harbour in Hermanus, Harbour House Hotel faces Walker Bay from the edge of the Western Cape coast. The property occupies three buildings: the slate-roofed Manor House, the New Wing, and Harbour Square across Harbour Road. Forty-four rooms and studios spread over ground, first, second, and third floors. Manor House Romantic Rooms carry millstone floors, freestanding cast baths, and walk-in showers; upper rooms open onto Juliet balconies with views of the pool and ocean. One Manor House room includes a private wood-fired hot tub on the balcony. New Wing studios, ranging from Standard to Sky Sea View, contain lounge areas and kitchenettes fitted with basic appliances; front-facing studios overlook Walker Bay. Harbour Square rooms, located on first to third floors, feature vanity baths, separate showers, and Juliet or seated balconies; Sky Rooms on the uppermost level face the ocean.

Selkirk's Restaurant serves breakfast to in-house guests on the Lookout Terrace or within the dining room. Lunch runs from midday to late afternoon; the wine bar holds selections from Walker Bay and Overberg estates. The 18-metre infinity pool sits at the front of the hotel, enclosed by glass walls. Complimentary scones are served mid-afternoon. You can watch southern right whales from the terrace during the seasonal migration. Wi-Fi is uncapped across all rooms.
