Haus Mopanie

On Mopanie Road in Tsumeb, northern Namibia, Haus Mopanie is a six-room bed-and-breakfast. Four double rooms and two twin rooms occupy the property, each with an en-suite bathroom and a private entrance opening onto a small garden. Twin beds can be pushed together. Every room holds a bar fridge, kettle, air-conditioning, and complimentary wireless internet. Daily servicing is standard. Braai facilities and garden chairs sit outside each unit; an ironing board and iron are available on request. All rooms are non-smoking; smoking is permitted in the gardens only.

Breakfast is served in an open-plan dining room. The menu includes home-baked bread and seasonal fruit grown on site — papaya, banana, guava, granadilla, and mango when available. Check-in opens at noon; check-out closes at 10 am. Secure parking is provided. The property arranges guided day trips to Etosha National Park on request; the guide draws on knowledge of the Oshikoto region and adjusts routes according to season, water distribution, and recent wildlife sightings. Tsumeb lies within day-trip range of Etosha's southern gates. German, English, and Afrikaans are spoken. El Toro Bar & Grill, a short drive away, serves lunch and dinner à la carte in a garden or indoor dining room.
