Hoada Campsite
Arriving among granite boulders and mopane trees twenty-five kilometres east of Grootberg Lodge, guests set camp at seven individual sites and one group site on community land in Damaraland. Each site accommodates up to eight people in tents or rooftop-tent vehicles; the group site takes fourteen and includes separate male and female ablution blocks. Every pitch has a private shower, washbasin, toilet, braai area, and kitchen tap with running water. The hot-water system heats while the braai fire burns.

Three permanent tents are available to hire. There is no mains electricity. Staff help with tent assembly and fire-starting. You bring your own toiletries and cooking kit. Secure parking is standard.

A three-hour guided walk departs from the campsite to a conservancy farm where Damara hosts demonstrate house construction, food preparation, goat milking, and medicinal-plant use. The campsite lies seventy-five kilometres west of Kamanjab on the C40. Guided rhino tracking, elephant tracking, and cultural homestead visits can be arranged through Grootberg Lodge. Mobile signal reaches the site. Staff speak English and Afrikaans.
