Set on the edge of indigenous forest above the Matjies River gorge eighteen kilometres east of Plettenberg Bay, Hog Hollow Country Lodge is sixteen suites in gardens facing the Tsitsikamma Mountains. Each suite has a king bed, en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower, private timber deck, fireplace, air-conditioning, wireless internet, and a minibar. Loft suites add a second level with a downstairs lounge that converts to sleeping space for two children under twelve. All suites open onto views of forested valleys.
The boma deck overlooks the gorge and serves as the main gathering space, with seating, a fire, and access to the bar. Breakfast is served on the deck; dinner is a three-course menu taken either at a communal table or at separate tables indoors or outside. The pool deck lies below the boma and includes a sauna with an outdoor shower. A forest walk starts from the lodge and threads through the reserve. Staff arrange visits to nearby primate and bird sanctuaries, walking trails in Robberg Nature Reserve to the west or Nature's Valley to the east, and boat-based whale and dolphin outings from Plettenberg Bay.
