Hoi An Chic Hotel
A quiet rice-field base between old town and open sea
Guests arrive by bicycle or shuttle, the short route in from Hoi An old town running past open paddy fields before the gate. Hoi An Chic Green Retreat sits in a village between the old quarter and the coast, close enough to Cua Dai Road that the restaurants and bars there are a walk or a short ride away. An Bang Beach lies about 3.5 kilometres off, Hidden Beach closer still at 2.5, and the hotel runs a free shuttle to both the old city and the sand. The 17 rooms split across five categories, from Garden View doubles at 45 square metres to the top-floor Countryside Grand rooms at 90, each with a private balcony or terrace facing the fields. Stone and timber finishes run through the interiors, paired with linen and soft furnishings. Bathrooms lean toward outdoor bathtubs and indoor showers, and the Grand rooms add marble tubs and terracotta roof tiles. It is a compact stay, easy to cross on foot. A rooftop pool overlooks the rice fields, and the hotel lends bicycles and arranges a countryside jeep tour, a coffee-making class and a lantern-crafting workshop. You can hear little beyond birdsong and the odd bicycle bell from the balconies. Check-in runs from 2pm, check-out by noon.
