Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa

Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa is a four-storey hotel on a headland above two Blue Flag beaches in West Cork, outside Clonakilty. The Atlantic Ocean lies to the west and south. Sixty-seven guest rooms occupy the main building; self-catering apartments sit in a separate block. Every room has ocean views and either a private balcony or a ground-floor terrace with a wooden bench. Terrace rooms on the ground floor open onto patio areas. Balcony rooms on the first and second floors face the beaches. Superior-view rooms on the third and fourth floors command wider ocean views. Suites divide into a sitting area and a bedroom with a four-poster bed; bathrooms have freestanding baths, showers, and Elemis toiletries. Family rooms contain a double bed and a single bed. Self-catering apartments have two bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, and a lounge. All rooms have air conditioning, a Nespresso machine, a minibar, robes, and slippers.

The Gulfstream Restaurant serves dinner; Dunes Pub & Bistro offers West Cork seafood chowder, steaks, and fish and chips throughout the day. Afternoon tea is served in the lounge. The spa draws seawater from the Atlantic for thalassotherapy treatments, body wraps, and polishes; a heated seawater pool, sauna, and steam room are open to guests. Complimentary yoga classes take place on the headland. Surfing, kayaking, and whale-watching excursions depart from the beach. Guided e-bike tours run through West Cork in partnership with a local operator. Secure parking is available on site.
