Kicheche Mara North
Canvas walls frame a view onto the Olare Orok stream below and the western escarpment beyond. Each of nine tented suites overlooks the seasonal watercourse where birdlife congregates and plains game move through the corridor in sight of the terrace. Wildlife sightings often begin before you leave camp. The tenth accommodation is a family suite: two separate bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, connected by a furnished lounge with sofa and dining table that seats five and comes with exclusive vehicle use.

The camp sits in Mara North Conservancy, a 73,000-acre privately managed area adjoining the Masai Mara Reserve and included on the IUCN Green List. Over 800 Maasai landowners lease the land under a model that protects habitat while generating stable income. Kicheche's Silver-rated guides lead game drives in customised four-wheel-drive vehicles at hours you choose. Guided bush walks with an armed ranger read spoor, nest sites, and migration traces invisible from a vehicle. Fly-camping excursions trek across the conservancy for one night under canvas in a remote site with bucket shower, long-drop toilet, and dinner cooked over wood fire.

The dining tent and adjacent euclea tree offer valley views at meals. A lounge holds a library, board games, and locally crafted décor. Maasai women teach beading technique in camp. Solar power runs 24 hours; WiFi reaches all tents. The spa tent provides massage, pedicure, and manicure treatments. Mara North Airstrip lies 30 minutes by road.
