Kipalo Hills
Part of Phasec create
Kipalo Hills sits on the slopes of the Mbulia Hills inside the Mbulia Conservancy, a private wildlife area of nearly thirty-six thousand acres that shares a border with Tsavo West National Park. From the camp, the view runs across the conservancy plains toward the Ngulia Hills and, on a clear day, to Mount Kilimanjaro. A waterhole beside the camp draws elephant and buffalo regularly, and leopard and African wild dog have been recorded there too.
The camp holds eight units in three categories. Traditional safari tents offer double or twin beds, a bucket shower, and a sitting area in front of each tent; the tents are spaced well apart. The Rock Suite sits among natural rock formations and suits couples or families wanting more space, with a double bed, a day bed, and a private dining area. The Cliff Villa is a separate private unit with a king-size bed, indoor and outdoor shower, a furnished deck, and a rooftop terrace.
Activities are arranged daily around each guest's preferences and include game drives in open-roof four-by-four vehicles through the conservancy, guided bush walks, night drives, and gourmet bush picnics. The camp also runs drives into Tsavo East and day excursions to the Taita Hills and Chyulu Hills. Meals are served in the main mess, on private terraces, or at locations chosen in the bush.
Airport transfers are included, and the camp operates in English and Swahili.
