Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge

Set on the rim of an extinct volcano within Pilanesberg National Park, Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge occupies slopes formed two billion years ago. The lodge was the first property in the Legacy portfolio. Ninety-one rooms are arranged across upper and lower levels, each with air conditioning, a combined bath and shower, DStv, direct-dial telephone, and a safe. Standard King and Standard Twin rooms sleep two. Family Twin rooms hold four. Executive rooms include a stocked mini-bar. All rooms feature tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer, and international plug sockets.

The Kwa Lefikeng Restaurant serves buffet breakfast and dinner daily, with an à la carte lunch menu. Bush boma dinners take place on Wednesday and Saturday evenings under open sky. A second pool near reception includes a waterslide and a children's pool. The Legacy Balance Spa overlooks the plains and offers treatments while wildlife moves across the view in front of the relaxation area. Morning and afternoon game drives depart daily with guides. Morning tree, bird, and game walks vary by fitness level. The park supports elephant, lion, leopard, rhino, and buffalo. Bush golf and a children's playground are on-site. The lodge lies less than two hours from Johannesburg in a malaria-free zone.
