Liesak Resort

Arriving at Liesak Resort, guests step into tropical gardens that slope to the shore of Lake Babogaya, one of seven rift valley lakes near Bishoftu. Thirty-eight rooms and suites are spread across the grounds, each with a private bathroom and a veranda. The wellness spa treats skin and muscle with massage and therapies. A fitness centre opens onto the same gardens. The swimming pool overlooks the lake.

The restaurant occupies a deck above the water, built with traditional structures framing the dining space. A bar operates alongside. Conference rooms accommodate groups from 20 to 200; event spaces host meetings and celebrations. You can take a boat onto Lake Babogaya or fish from the shore. The lake is swimmable. Bishoftu town, formerly called Debre Zeit, lies a short drive away.
