Londolozi Founders Camp

Established by the Varty family in 1926, the camp occupies the site where Londolozi began nearly a century ago. Ten chalets stand under ancient ebony and matumi trees above the Sand River, each raised on timber decks with a private plunge pool, an outdoor shower, and an outdoor dining sala. The original Sparta Camp, a small stone structure from the 1920s, sits within the grounds as a record of the reserve's founding years. Dolerite rock walls and brick paths connect the chalets to the main lodge, where waterfalls and climbing vines frame views across the river.

Guided game drives depart with a ranger and tracker across sixteen thousand hectares of private land bordering Kruger National Park. Walking safaris track animals on foot through riverine forest and dry riverbeds. The camp's photographic studio offers lighting equipment and advice for wildlife photographers. A wellness facility, the Healing House, provides massage and bodywork treatments. The yoga deck beneath a five-hundred-year-old ebony tree holds daily classes overlooking the river. A gym, boutique, and Cubs Den for children aged six to sixteen are located within the camp. Children can join game drives, take part in archery and track moulding, or walk through camp identifying bird species. You can hear fish eagles call from the chalets at dawn. Laundry service and wireless internet are complimentary.
