Mahali Mzuri
Perched on a ridge above the Olare valley, Mahali Mzuri opens onto unbroken views of the plains below. Twelve tented suites sleep 24 guests across the conservancy's western edge; six tents line each side of a shared walkway, the furthest a five-minute walk from the main tent. Ten suites configure as king or twin; two family suites enclose the sitting area with fold-out sofas for two children. Each tent spans 106 m² including the outdoor deck and holds a roll-top bath, separate shower, twin vanity, and hairdryer. Décor is canvas and teak; mosquito nets drape the beds.

The main tent holds a lounge with open fireplace, library, games console, and honesty bar stocked with spirits, wine, and beer. A 12-metre heated infinity pool overlooks the plains. Nasaro spa, set near the valley floor, offers massage and facials with D'VINE botanical products; treatments include the Nasaro Misuli deep-tissue massage and hot-stone sessions using river rocks. Twice-daily game drives depart in open Land Cruiser 4x4s seating six. Night drives track aardvark and honey badger. You can hear the Loita wildebeest herd from the terrace; 150,000 animals hold territory year-round within the 13,500-hectare Olare Motorogi Conservancy. Walking safaris with Maasai warrior guides cover tracking and medicinal-plant identification. Hot-air balloon flights lift at dawn; champagne breakfast follows on the plains. Community tours visit the Maa Trust beading workshop and Enkenju-Enkoirien Primary School. The weekly Thursday market lies 20 minutes by road. Pan-African menus rotate Swahili and Kenyan dishes; bush dinners set tables in the open conservancy under the stars.
