Set in the southern sector of the Timbavati Nature Reserve adjoining Kruger National Park, the lodge overlooks a permanent waterhole a hundred metres from eight private suites. Each suite measures 140 m² and opens in a single plane from bathroom through bedroom and lounge to a wooden deck facing the dam and the bush beyond. Free-standing baths, indoor and outdoor showers, fireplaces, and lounge areas with custom furnishings fill the interiors. Two suites add private plunge pools. One suite holds two bedrooms for families or paired couples.
Three game-drive vehicles operate across eight thousand hectares of concession. Morning and afternoon drives track leopard, lion, elephant, buffalo, and rhino through low-density traversing country with no time limits at sightings. Rangers and trackers plan routes according to what has moved overnight. Walking safaris and stargazing sessions run seasonally. A photographic programme pairs guests with a wildlife photographer for private vehicle tutorials tailored to skill level, from first-time users to advanced shooters.
The lodge has a restaurant, bar, spa treatment rooms, a gym, and a pool deck. Meals include South African house wines. Laundry is complimentary. The minimum age is twelve unless the property is booked exclusively. Condé Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards ranked the lodge first in South Africa in 2024.
