Mantaray Island Resort

Mantaray Island Resort is on Nanuya Balavu, a protected island in Fiji's Yasawa archipelago. Seven accommodation types occupy the property, each a short walk from the sand. Beachfront villas open onto private decks and the house reef; each villa includes air conditioning, a rain shower, a mini-fridge, and two sofa beds in the lounge. Sunrise beachfront villas, reserved for guests 16 and over, face east and stand within metres of the reef edge. Reef bures and family reef bures sit in gardens a few paces inland, both with ceiling fans and louvered windows. Seaside bures occupy similar ground and share central bathroom blocks. Treehouse bures rise above the canopy on wooden stilts and rely on cross-ventilation through adjustable louvres; bathrooms are communal. A 32-bed dormitory is divided into four-person alcoves. The restaurant serves continental breakfast, à la carte lunch, and a three-course dinner each evening; on Fridays the kitchen prepares a traditional lovo earth oven. A beach bar operates throughout the day. The day spa offers coconut-based treatments and massage. Kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and snorkelling gear are available on the beach. Sunset tube cruises and village visits to Soso are scheduled through reception. Port Denarau lies two hours south by boat. Wi-Fi reaches communal areas. The resort does not accept cash; all transactions are by card.
