Maple Lodge Wanaka

Wānaka Haven opens onto six acres of open lawn, with the Southern Alps filling the view from nearly every window. The lodge is built for groups: eight bedrooms, seven with en suite bathrooms, sleep up to sixteen guests across two wings joined by shared living space. Underfloor heating runs beneath the stone and timber interiors, and a geothermal system keeps the whole place warm through winter without a single radiator in sight. Two lounges, each with its own fireplace, give guests somewhere to sit apart from the main gathering, while a chef's kitchen and butler's pantry handle catering for a crowd. Outside, a heated pool operates through the summer months and a hot tub stays open year-round, positioned for views of snow on the peaks. You can eat indoors by the fire or outside under open sky, with a barbecue and outdoor fireplace set up for alfresco meals. The property is self-catered and dry-hire, meaning guests bring their own chef, caterer or stylist, though the lodge connects visitors to local operators for wine tastings, heli-tours and lake cruises. It sits a short drive from Wānaka town and from Queenstown Airport. Wheelchair access is provided throughout. It is a quiet, private base for six or more nights, built less for passing through than for settling in.
