Exploring the private Naboisho Conservancy from Mara Nyika Camp, you drive out in open-sided Toyota Land Cruisers customised for photographers, each seating four guests. The camp is set in a valley beneath umbrella-thorn trees, straddling a small stream. Four suites and one two-bedroom family tent rest on raised decking under the tree canopy. Each suite measures 1,000 square feet and holds an indoor lounge, an en-suite bathroom with a copper bath, double basins, an indoor shower, and a private veranda extending into the surrounding woodland. The two-bedroom family tent connects two bedrooms via a shared lounge; one bathroom has a bath and shower, the second a shower only.
Raised wooden walkways link the suites to the main area, which overlooks the plains. A library, wine cellar, and safari boutique stocking Beverly Joubert's explorer collection occupy the central lodge. Day and night drives depart in Land Cruisers fitted with fold-down screens, raised roofs, photographic bars, and stocked fridges. You can hear lion calls at dusk. Night drives track nocturnal species after dark. Each suite supplies binoculars and a professional camera body with lenses; images transfer to a memory stick at departure. Hot-air ballooning is available at additional cost. The Naboisho Women's Group sells beadwork, honey, and soap; proceeds support 105 local households. Laundry, Wi-Fi, and beverages including premium spirits are complimentary. The camp is a Relais & Châteaux member.
