Set atop a knoll in the northern Serengeti, Mara River Post overlooks a meander of the Mara River from a site that commands 270 degrees of savannah and water. The camp sits in the Kogatende region of the national park, where wildebeest cross the river between June and October during the Great Migration. Elephants and hippos gather at the river year-round. The raised common areas include a lounge, a canvas restaurant, a bar, and a swimming pool, all with direct views of the crossings below.
Sixteen tents occupy wooden platforms, each 40 m². A furnished terrace faces either east or west over the river or plains. Interiors feature a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with shower and flush toilet, a dressing alcove, and wooden finishes beneath a thatched roof that moderates heat. The camp runs entirely on solar electricity. Wifi reaches the common areas.
Guided game drives depart into the northern plains, where cheetahs hunt gazelle and rhinoceros graze in open grassland. Walking safaris track animals on foot with naturalist guides. The camp operates with zero single-use plastic, manages water on-site, and sources food locally. Security staff patrol round the clock. You can watch elephant families move to the river from the terrace. Laundry service is available on request.
