Namushasha River Villa Gondwana Collection Namibia

Framed by the Kwando River and mature riverine trees, Namushasha River Lodge holds 24 rooms strung along the leafy bank 24 kilometres south of Kongola on the C49. Twin rooms and one triple room each contain mosquito nets, en-suite showers, air-conditioning, and a private veranda. Three family rooms hold two bedrooms sharing one bathroom. A thatched dining room, bar, and a cold-water pool anchor the central areas.

Boat cruises depart morning and afternoon, threading the Kwando channels to track birdlife, hippos, and crocodiles. Dry-season water levels between September and December can restrict access to some channels. Guided game drives cross into Bwabwata National Park, a three-hour journey by boat and vehicle to find elephants, Cape buffalo, roan and sable antelope, and predators including lion and leopard. Fishing trips target tigerfish, catfish, tilapia, and nembwe; tackle and bait are provided, and licences are available at the lodge.

You can hear vervet monkeys in the canopy overhead. The lodge operates with 24-hour security, secure parking, and mobile connectivity. Staff speak English and Afrikaans. A curio shop stocks local crafts. Wireless internet is complimentary.
