Necker Island Resort
A private Caribbean island reached by speedboat transfer from Beef Island or Virgin Gorda
Necker Island is a private island of 74 acres in the North Sound of the British Virgin Islands, ringed by a three-mile coastline of beach and reef. The Great House sits at its centre, the focus of evening gatherings that change theme nightly. Four infinity pools and a beach-side hot tub are scattered across the grounds, along with two floodlit tennis courts and new padel and pickleball courts. It is a working stretch of coast, not a static view. Watersports are included throughout a stay: kite surfing, waterskiing, sailing, kayaking and eFoiling among them, with instructors on hand for every level. A natural ocean rockpool near the shore, known on the island as the seacuzzi, holds guests in gentle surf between the Great House and the water. The Samudra Spa stands between Red Dock and the Beach House, its treatment rooms set where tropical planting meets white sand, using the Sodashi skincare range. Half-day boat trips run out to Virgin Gorda's Baths and other BVI islands, with one such excursion included per stay. Arrival is by speedboat, a 30-minute run from Beef Island after a short transfer from the airport. Guests are met on landing with a glass of champagne, poured island-side and called, locally, Necker water.
