Tracking cheetah at sunrise defines the rhythm at Olmara Camp. Set within an acacia grove in the far eastern Serengeti, the camp holds five tented suites and three stargazer suites on the Ngare Nanyuki river valley plains. Each suite rests on wooden floors beneath canvas and opens to views across grassland dotted with granite kopjes. A lounge area with sofas and a writing desk occupy one end; a king-size bed and en-suite shower the other. Soft carpets cover the wood. The three stargazer suites include platforms furnished with cushions for sleeping beneath open sky. The camp is unfenced. Wildlife crosses the site.
Daily game drives depart with a guide across the Soit le Motonyi plains and into the acacia woodlands. Cheetah, lion, leopard, serval, and caracal hunt across the terrain. Elephant, giraffe, zebra, warthog, and hyena move through the grassland. Walking safaris lead from camp to examine tracks and read animal movement in the dust. Multi-night fly-camping expeditions travel north into wilderness where vehicles cannot reach, escorted by a professional guide. Bush dinners are served under the stars beside a campfire. The central mess tent holds a lounge, a library, and a dining area where meals are prepared from seasonal produce. Satellite internet connects to the outside. Laundry service is complimentary.
