Otentic Eco Tent Experience

Set on the banks of the Grande Rivière Sud-Est in Deux Frères village, Otentic Eco Tent Experience is twelve safari tents arranged in a palm garden between the river and the lagoon. Each tent sleeps up to four guests and opens onto a private balcony overlooking the garden. Bathrooms are built from recycled wood and fitted with plant-based biodegradable products. The tents have no permanent foundations and sit on soil left undisturbed.

Photovoltaic panels and solar water heaters supply energy to the site. Rainwater is collected and used for the organic vegetable garden, whose produce appears in the restaurant menu. Meals are cooked daily by women from the village and served in the main communal area. Continental breakfast, non-alcoholic drinks, and homemade herbal teas are included. A natural swimming pool lies beside the main building.

Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards launch directly from the property onto the river; the route upstream passes mangrove and ends at a waterfall. Bicycles are available for rides through the surrounding villages. Archery, pétanque, volleyball, badminton, and slackline are set up on the grounds. A complimentary pirogue shuttle departs for Île aux Cerfs each morning. Snorkelling and kitesurfing take place in the lagoon. Massage treatments are bookable in the on-site pavilion. Wi-Fi runs in the pool area during daylight.
