Porto Zante Villas & Spa
Fourteen beachfront villas on Zakynthos, each with a private heated pool
Porto Zante is a villa resort set on a sandy bay on Zakynthos, west of the Greek mainland. Fourteen villas run along the beachfront, each with its own heated pool, and the largest sit behind stone walls and iron gates that recall the island's Venetian past. Rooms range from an 85 m² one-bedroom villa to the 450 m² Imperial Spa Villa, which has two pools, five bathrooms and its own stretch of sand. Interiors carry furniture by Armani Casa and Gervasoni, and bathrooms are stocked with Bulgari amenities. It is a compact resort. From the upper villas, views run across the water to Kefalonia and the Kyllini castle on the Peloponnese coast, and you can watch the light change over the Ionian Sea through the afternoon. Two restaurants cover Greek and Mediterranean cooking and an Asian-fusion menu, with a beach dining option for meals taken by the water. A spa built out over the sea offers more than 20 treatments, some given in-villa. Zakynthos airport lies 8 km away, the island's port town 7 km, and the nearest village is barely a kilometre from the gate.
