Each of the two Retreats at Sayari is a self-contained unit within Sayari Camp, arranged for a family or small group travelling together. Each comes with its own guide, safari vehicle, host, and chef — so your schedule, meals, and game drives run independently of the main camp. The units opened in 2023 and sit on the northern edge of the Serengeti, twenty minutes by road from Kogatende airstrip.

The two units share a dedicated pool and lounge between them, and when both are occupied together there is a separate dining room large enough for the combined group. The private kitchen means meals are prepared to the group's own dietary needs and timing rather than a fixed camp schedule.

Sayari Camp sits closer to the Mara River than any other permanent camp in the northern Serengeti, which is the main reason to be here from July to October, when wildebeest and zebra cross the crocodile-filled water in large numbers. Outside the migration months — from November through to the camp's March closure — the northern plains hold lion, leopard, cheetah, black rhino, and elephant with very few other visitors around. Twice-daily game drives run in open vehicles; walking safaris are available from June through mid-January for guests aged twelve and older. The camp closes in April and May.
