Roving Bushtops

Set within the Serengeti ecosystem, the camp relocates twice yearly to follow the wildebeest migration. From June to October it occupies the northern plains, fifteen minutes' drive from the Mara River crossing points. From December to March it moves south to the calving grounds, where approximately eight thousand wildebeest are born daily during a three-week period beginning late January. Each location lies within Tanzania's Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site covering fifteen thousand square kilometres.

Eight tented suites are mounted on custom wheeled units designed and built in-house. Each tent opens on three sides during the day. A king-size bed, writing desk, and en-suite bathroom with flushing shower anchor the interior. Outside, a wooden deck of more than one hundred square metres holds a sunken bathtub, sun loungers, and a dining table. Family configurations place two units side by side.

Daily game drives depart in open four-wheel-drive Land Cruisers with a ranger and spotter. Bush breakfasts, picnic lunches, and candlelit dinners can be arranged away from camp. The central mess tent serves three meals daily; private in-tent dining is available on request. A complimentary massage is offered during each stay. Twenty-four-hour butler service, wireless internet, and all drinks are included. Laundry is complimentary. The camp partners with Robanda School for educational visits. Hot-air balloon safaris can be arranged through a local operator.
