Sala Beach House

Guests reach Sala Beach House in 20 minutes from King Shaka International Airport and descend a private path to Thompsons Bay. The property occupies a clifftop site above a tidal pool and swimming beach. Seven rooms and three suites fill the main house; each opens onto a private balcony or terrace overlooking the Indian Ocean. Pool View Rooms span 32 m² and face the gardens and pool deck from the ground floor. Ocean View Rooms, 38 m² each, carry floor-to-ceiling glass that frames the coastline. The 57-m² Courtyard Suite looks over the inner courtyard and tropical palms. Both the 61-m² Ocean Suite and the 75-m² Sala Suite hold a separate lounge area and direct sea views; the Sala Suite adds a four-poster bed. A three-bedroom villa stands as a self-contained unit with 258 m² of living space, a private plunge pool, full kitchen, and three en-suite bedrooms.

The restaurant serves dishes built on local seafood and seasonal produce. A spa runs treatments using Terres d'Afrique and QMS product lines; therapists deliver massage, facials, and body rituals in treatment rooms facing the water. Daily morning yoga takes place on the ocean-facing deck. Two swimming pools occupy the grounds. Snorkelling gear is available for use in the tidal pools; parrotfish, damsels, and moray eels inhabit the rocky shallows. Coastal walks and surf lessons can be arranged. Four golf courses lie within 30 minutes by road.
